The US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the European Commission have joined forces to tackle the burgeoning fintech industry. This newfound partnership marks a noteworthy departure from tradition. So, what sparked this unexpected alliance?

The meteoric rise of BNPL services, with their alluring promises of instant gratification and "interest-free" financing, has regulators worried about a potential debt crisis brewing on the horizon.



Amazon Pay is now integrated on Stripe, creating a frictionless experience with multiple payment options for customers. This new product launch represents a significant milestone, enabling businesses of all sizes to expand their reach to customers, increase conversions, and accept multiple payment methods for no additional transaction fees.


Meanwhile, Stripe and Urban Outfitters Launch Payments Partnership. The collaboration, announced Tuesday (April 16) will see is designed to offer a more consistent checkout experience for customers making online and in-person payments. The Stripe Terminal will become URBN’s primary in-store checkout option in North America, while URBN is also using Link and Stripe Financial Connections to allow online customers to pay with their bank accounts.



CrowdStrike (CRWD) Partners With National Australia Bank. NAB will offer free access to CRWD’s Falcon Go, a cybersecurity tool powered by AI, to the bank’s small and medium-sized business customers.



Volumez, a revolutionary modern cloud data infrastructure company, expands collaboration with Amazon Web Services and joins ISV Accelerate Program. The purpose of the program is to help partners drive new business and accelerate sales cycles by connecting the participating ISVs with the AWS Sales organization.



Apple has been meeting with Chinese technology firm Baidu about using homegrown generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in all new iPhones and operating systems for the Chinese market.


Apple is not the first global tech company to comply. Samsung announced in January that it would integrate Baidu’s chatbot into the next generation of its Galaxy S24 devices in the mainland.
